The Mandeville Hotel occupies a fantastic position smack bang in the centre of Marylebone and just minutes from Christopher’s Place. You really couldn’t ask for a better London location. And the icing on the cake: Maison Christian Lacroix has waved its magic wand over the fifth floor of the hotel, offering a delectable couture treat. Each collection from the house tells a story, and the one Lacroix has chosen to bring to the Mandeveille is chic French Riviera, employing the Belles Rives design.

We stayed in a Jewel Box room. A gorgeous riot of colour, this room has been influenced by the Cartier jewels stolen from Grace Kelly in the above mentioned cinematic caper. The lace and mantillas worn by women in The Carmargue gave Lacroix the idea to produce the turquoise Macarena lace wallpaper around the room, offset with classic Lacroix silver and black striped wallpaper.
We do love a beautifully dressed window:

There are all the usual amenities you would expect, such as Flatscreen HD TV, High-speed WiFi, Nespresso machine, and tea-making facilities (so often missing), and a little accent of urban NYC with C.O. Bigelow toiletries. Remember to ask for a Riviera Room when booking.
